  • Yes. Shift in Tides supports NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed. We tailor support to align with each participant’s goals and funding arrangements.

  • We work with:

    • Self‑managed NDIS participants

    • Plan‑managed NDIS participants

    Weekend respite is typically charged using daily respite / STA‑style rates, aligned with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements.

    What’s included is always outlined clearly in a service agreement, including:

    • Support hours

    • Overnight supervision

    • Accommodation and meals

    • Planned activities

    Optional extras (such as specific excursions or transport) are discussed and agreed on in advance — no surprises.

  • Shift in Tides is not currently NDIS registered. This means we work with participants who manage their own funding or use a plan manager. We are happy to provide clear service agreements and invoices to support this.

  • Our services typically fall under Short-Term Accommodation (STA) / respite-style support, as well as community access and social support. Support is focused on weekend getaways and one-on-one outdoor experiences.

  • Each weekend is planned individually, but typically includes:

    • One-on-one support and supervision

    • Overnight accommodation (such as camping or simple stays)

    • Support with daily living and routines

    • Meals and planned activities

    All inclusions are clearly outlined in a service agreement before the weekend begins.

  • Most respite supports run from Saturday to Monday, but length and structure can be adjusted depending on participant needs and funding.

  • Yes. We specialise in 1:1 support, particularly for participants who prefer calm, personalised environments and outdoor-based activities.

  • No. All activities are optional and participant-led. We encourage choice, comfort and consent at all times. Activities are adapted to suit ability, confidence and interests.

  • Safety is a priority. We complete individual risk assessments, plan activities carefully, monitor conditions such as weather, and have emergency procedures in place. Support workers are First Aid and CPR trained.

  • Rates are discussed upfront and documented in a clear service agreement. Pricing is aligned with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements, and any optional extras (such as specific excursions or transport) are agreed to in advance.
